Roar for Reading by Beth Ferry: Hardcover

Bestselling author Beth Ferry and bestselling illustrator Andrew Joyner team up for a heartfelt picture book about a young lion who finds his voice in defense of books.

Lions and libraries have gone together for as long as anyone can remember. Maybe it's because, back when books were treasures, they needed mighty guardians. But it's been ages since a lion has had to roar for the sake of a story.

Then Julius learns that books are being pulled from the shelves of his local library, and the feeling swelling inside him is too big to hold in. So he ROARS!

Not every lion is a librarian, but every librarian is a lion. This stirring story celebrates the power of stories to bring us together and the courage it takes to protect the books that can change the world.
